In The Times today: BWSC bid was ‘cheapest by far’ – Gatt

Arguing about how cheap something is when it comes to energy generation speaks volumes about the supposed importance given to the environment and quality of life by the party in government.

When something is by far the cheapest it can also mean that it is the dirtiest. It is old concept ‘end-of-pipe’ technology, no wonder it’s cheap.

Cheap technology, cheap government, cheap mentality…

Just a reminder: the government’s consultant is Lehmeyer International, blacklisted by the World Bank for corruption. How cheaper can we get?
